Scott Heckert is racing with Lone Star Racing for the first time in 2018 and has been immediately successful partnering with third-year team driver Mike Skeen. Co-driving the No. 80 ACS Manufacturing/Lone Star Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3, Heckert and Skeen co-drove to three podium finishes in the year’s first four races, including a victory at VIRginia International Raceway (VIR) in April. Heckert and Skeen also co-drove to second and third place finishes in the season-opening Pirelli World Challenge SprintX GT Pro races at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) in March. Heckert brings a diverse racing background to Lone Star Racing, including a successful foray in NASCAR that saw four wins and five pole positions in the K&N Pro Series and entries in the Xfinity Series. He switched to sports car racing in 2016 and had quick success in Pirelli World Challenge GTS competition with two wins and more than a dozen top-five finishes. He first raced a Mercedes-AMG GT3 overseas in 2017 in the Blancpain GT Endurance Series, competing in top European races, including the 24 hours of Spa. @Scott_Heckert
