AJ Petersen brings his life-long passion for motorsports and competition to Lone Star Racing.  AJ is the Team Manager for LSR.  He is tasked with all aspects of the operations of Lone Star Racing.  He was part of the team at Performance Speed Tech located at the Motor Sport Ranch in Cresson, TX.  There he was tasked as the Director of Sales along with being a Damper Technician and Project Manager.   AJ began his interest in racing attending IMSA and SCCA Trans-AM events with his father while in grade school.  These events along with an annual trek to the Indy 500 turned an interest into a full on passion.  AJ has never looked back.  He started his professional motorsports career at the age of 18 and has now amassed 24 years of experience building from the bottom to the top.  He studied Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Arlington.  AJ has an extensive background in total car preparation, engineering, data analysis, team management and operations.  He has worked within Trans-AM, Pirelli World Challenge, IMSA, SRO, and Club Racing.  During this time he worked with drivers such as Paul Newman, Justin Bell, Johnny Miller, Simon Gregg, Dave Fiorelli, David Donohue, Marc Goosens, Kuno Wittmer, Cameron Lawrence, Mike Skeen, Scott Heckert, Gar Robinson, Lawson Aschenbach, Zane Hodgen, and Others.  He is also a family man.  He has a wonderful family with wife Jennifer, daughter Julianne, and son Oliver.
